No Darcy Kuemper, no problem for the Colorado Avalanche.

With Kuemper out with an upper body injury, the Avs turned to backup goalie Pavel Francouz, who proceeded to stop all 24 shots he faced in Colorado's dominating 4-0 win over the Edmonton Oilers in game two of the Western Conference Final Thursday night at Ball Arena in Denver.

Francouz was strong in net and the Avalanche gave him enough offensive support in the second period.

Neither team scored in the first period but the Avs changed that in a hurry in the second period, scoring their first goals goals 15 seconds apart and adding a third in a span of 2:04.

Arturri Lehkonen started the scoring at 3:58 of the second period and Josh Manson made it 2-0 at 4:13. Mikko Rantanen capped the outburst at 6:02.

Edmonton could never get its high-powered offense going thanks to solid forechecking and defense and Francouz in net.

It all added up to an impressive win for the Avalanche, which takes a 2-0 series lead.
