Door-to-Door Jerks

So, if you had a "No Solicitors" sign right beside your front door and a guy walks up, looks at it, and then hangs a bag of unsolicited crap on your door knob, what would you do?

Underwater Funny Business

Now, call me kooky, but if I were the Prez, I would already have ordered our Navy to send in a special sub with special divers and special equipment to fetch that ICBM North Korea launched off the bottom of the Sea of Japan. Know what I mean?

And I would have told the Chinese to keep their subs out of that area of operations until further notice, just so they don't mess with our sub.

And I would have told the Chinese that if all of a sudden some NK ships started messing around near the splash area, we would know they told the NKs we were up to something thereabouts.

And after a week, as Prez, I would expect the op to be complete and the missile parts to be in a safe place for study.

I'm just saying . . . ;-)

Wedding Bells Bucks

OK, so my daughter is engaged. How much can I expect to have to pay for each guest at the reception? Gimme a range.

Also, for you who have gone through this before, what things do we need to be thinking about long before the event to prevent glitches?

Stem Cell Debacle

President Bush is likely to veto Rep. DeGette's stem cell bill because of how embryos (human) are used in this genre of medical science. It would be his first presidential veto.

This is a touchy subject, with one side saying countless lives could be saved if we use stem cell research and the other side saying it is immoral because embryos are used, which they consider sacred because they are a form of unborn human.

Bush says he will not meet with DeGette on this matter and now she is mad. However, she refuses to come on my show and I got over it. I guess what goes around, comes around.

What are your opinions on stem cell research?

Gunny Bob and Gang to Coors Field!

Hey Gang:

We are setting up a day when a bunch of us can go to a Rockies game, with news radio 850 KOA picking up the tab!

I am a big Rockies fan. Stand by for more info as we get this gig set up.

Do you think the Rockies have a chance at winning the pennant or WS?

Deep Knee Bends

OK, gang. Any of you know anything about knee-replacement surgery?

The VA tells me I might need it on both knees. I need all the info I can get before I make any rash decisions.

Oh, never jump out of planes and never run long distances wearing heavy packs and stuff. Apparently it is bad for one's knees and other stuff.

Stupid Pet Tricks

Because I am lazy, I have a lawn service mow my lawn. Yesterday, the fools left the gate open and my dog, Wynnie, escaped. Thank God I found her OK. I fired the service and hired a new one. The old one said they were sorry and that they would put a note on their computer to remind their cutters to shut gates.

Well, duh.

Why does it take a reminder on a computer to get someone to shut a gate? I mean, would you not do that automatically?
