The 7th Annual Veterans Appreciation Breakfast will be held at Wings Over the Rockies on Saturday, May 11th at 8:00 a.m. The event has been put together by The Rotary Club of Denver Southeast.

The Center for American Values and the Pueblo Home of Heroes Association will honor several Medal of Honor Recipients and active duty soldiers from Ft. Carson with multiple events

Medal of Honor Portrait Unveiling
The Center for American Values will unveil the portrait of Sgt. 1st Class Leroy Petry, a
recent Medal of Honor recipient, created by photographer Nick Del Calzo. The
portrait will be displayed with 147 others in the Center’s gallery. Petry earned the
Medal of Honor for his actions against an armed enemy in the vicinity of Paktya
Province in Afghanistan on May 26, 2008. The event is free and open to the
public with doors opening at 5:30 pm - food and beverages provided.

4th Annual Pueblo Home
of Heroes Golf Tournament
The Pueblo Home of Heroes Association will host their annual
event at the Pueblo Country Club. Participants will feature Medal of Honor
recipients as well as active duty military personnel from Ft. Carson.
The Center for American Values will also host special guest, PGA
pro golfer Dave Stockton. The former Ryder Cup Captain and
Players Champion stays competitive on the Senior Tour but is even more active
as one of the most sought after short-game coaches to some of today’s top tour
players including Rory Mcllroy.
