Chuck Bonnwell

Chuck is the publisher of the Glendale Cherry Creek Chronicle is the owner of the newspaper through the Cherry Creek Trail, LLC. The newspaper is mailed to over 84,000 homes in the Cherry Creek Valley. He was born in New York City and grew up in its’ suburbs.

He graduated from Vanderbilt University with an honors degree in history and received a doctorate in law from the University of Colorado where he was an editor of the University of Colorado Law Review and was awarded a Master in Taxation from the University of Denver.

He has served as the senior advisor to the historic mining town of Central City and was legal counsel to the Glendale’s Planning Commision. He received critical acclaim for his book The History of The Denver Country Club: 1887 – 2006.

He is a founding member of the Greater Glendale Chamber of Commerce and is member of the board of directors of the Colorado Golf Hall and was for many years on the board of the Glendale YMCA.

Julie Hayden


Julie is an Emmy Award winning journalist, working as an investigative reporter for the past six years at KDVR-Fox 31 News. Before that, she worked for nearly 14 years across the street at KMGH-TV. She's also worked at KWGN-TV, KRDO-TV in Colorado Springs and several radio stations in Denver. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa and raised in the Chicago suburb of Woodstock, Illinois.

She graduated from Marian Central catholic High School there and went to Iowa State University where she obtained at B.S. Degree in Journalism and Mass Communications.

She has a grown daughter, Jennifer. Julie is married to Chuck Bonniwell and they have a toddler son who goes by “Rev,” a shortened version of a family name.
