For my Front Range Focus piece this week, I interviewed Nina Martinez, the Director of Streets Hope---a transitional housing facility and non-resident program that enables women coming out of the sex trade industry to be nurtured in a safe, holistic environment, allowing them to make changes that will take them away from their former livelihood and direct them to healthier lifestyle options.
FRONT RANGE FOCUS AIRS ON KBCO AT 11:30 SUNDAY NIGHT.
IT ALSO AIRS ON SUNDAY MORNING AT 6:30 ON KOA
AND 6 AM ON KHOW AND 760 KKZN.
They serve Women leaving sexually oriented businesses, such as prostitution, escort services, exotic dancing, and pornography.
Street’s Hope recognizes when women want to leave the sex trade industry, they often do not have the financial and emotional resources to do so. Women need a comprehensive approach to the complex issues that brought them into the industry. True healing is possible for women leaving the sex trade industry allowing them to have a meaningful future.
